From project planning through project completion, or on a task-by-task basis, I can help you take full advantage of the WordPress publishing platform by assisting with strategic planning, information architecture, content development and search engine optimization (SEO), or by performing technical tasks. My billing rate for consulting is $45/hour. However, for larger or more involved projects, a fixed estimate is provided.
Genesis Theme Development
If you have an existing website, a completed design (Photoshop or Fireworks), or you are willing to hire a designer to create a design, I will build it into a fully functioning Genesis child theme. As a developer, I do not take on design work, but I can help you find a designer to work with. For more information, see “Developer vs. Designer”. Custom theme development starts at $1200 (not including hiring a designer) and I will provide you with a fixed estimate based on your site’s specifications.
Genesis Child Theme Customization
As an alternative to custom theme development, you can select an existing Genesis child theme and provide me with a list of specific modifications you would like made. This is a great option for smaller budgets or for clients who know how they want their website to look and function. Genesis child theme customizations typically cost between $800 and $1200.
Support & Maintenance
I offer subscription-based support and maintenance plans to provide the ongoing maintenance and technical support necessary to keep your website running smoothly. Plans start at $85/month and include WordPress core and plugin updates (as necessary), weekly backups, restore from backup in case of emergency, and one hour of technical support per month. Support is also available on a per-incident basis at a cost of $45/hour.
WordPress Training
Want to update and maintain your website yourself? Not familiar with WordPress? No problem! I provide one-on-one training customized to your particular needs and goals. Most training sessions take place via Skype, but I am also available for on-site training depending on your location. My billing rate for one-on-one training is $45/hour. I offer discounted training to clients who are purchasing bundled services.
